Dr Jesuina Noronha

Dr Jesuina Noronha is a Melbourne-trained Paediatrician. She has been Chief Paediatric Resident, where she received excellent training in General Paediatrics, at Monash Children’s Hospital, and undertook specific further training in Behavioural and Developmental Paediatrics at the Royal Children's Hospital.Ina

She has graduated from medical school in 1996 and subsequently trained in Paediatrics and Neonatology in various institutions in Australia and overseas. She is an examiner for undergraduates at Monash University and loves training undergraduate and post graduate medical students in Paediatrics.

She is a published author of papers related to infectious diseases in prestigious journals. She is enthusiastic about her ongoing research in diabetes and reproductive health, in adolescent women at Monash Health. She has collaborated with Diabetes Australia to publish brochures on “Reproductive and Sexual Health in Adolescents with Diabetes”. Her project on reproductive health in Type 1 Diabetes has been presented in both national and international conferences.

In addition to her commitment to GLOW, Jesuina works with a team of Australia’s leading experts in child development and behaviour at the Melbourne Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics Clinic in Donvale. She also has private consulting suites at Silk Consulting Suites in Dandenong.

Jesuina is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

Presently, in her medical practice, Jesuina enjoys caring for children of all ages, with Paediatric medical, developmental and behavioural problems. She has a holistic approach involving the care of a child, in context of their family, carers, school and community. She is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

Jesuina has special interests in

  • Childhood Developmental and Behaviour including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, speech and learning difficulty. She works closely with a team of experts including psychologists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists to whom your child can be referred, if a full assessment is required.
  • Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine and is keen in following up growth and development of premature babies; addressing various issues like feeding difficulties, infant colic, reflux and unsettled babies.
  • Immigrant health including various complex medical and social issues.

Outside of Paediatric practice, Jesuina is married and a mother. She enjoys spending time with her family and has an active social life.
