Belinda is trained in Parent-Infant Therapy including the Circle of Security Parenting program and the Watch, Wait and Wonder Intervention and has an interest in working with the parent alongside the infant in the therapy space.
Belinda has worked in perinatal mental health for 5 years, predominately at the Raphael Services, St John of God Healthcare and in Private Practice. Prior to specializing in perinatal mental health she worked in a community mental health setting with young children, adolescents and adults.
Belinda’s clients have described her as understanding and easy to talk to, yet challenging. Belinda believes it’s important to choose a style that will suit each individual and takes a holistic approach. She uses a wide range of therapeutic styles including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She works with clients to help them build a deeper understanding of themselves, build strategies to help them cope while reducing any symptoms they are experiencing and works to resolve any core, underlying issues.
